Cynthia Huerta had an extensive and successful career with an established Houston insurance defense law firm. She recently joined Schechter, McElwee, Shaffer & Harris to help injured workers and make a difference in their lives. Drawing on her vast knowledge of how insurance companies work and tactics of defense attorneys, she helps clients win the maximum amount of compensation possible in their personal injury cases.
Ms. Huerta has been practicing law for 10 years, and in that time she has handled hundreds of cases, including successfully representing clients in 18 wheeler accidents, wrongful death cases, breach of contract disputes, DRAM shop claims, personal injury claims and premises liability cases. She displays excellent negotiation skills at mediation on behalf of her clients and has also successfully tried cases to jury verdict.
She sees it as her job to find the best resolution for every case, whether that means hammering out a deal or taking a case to trial. Ms. Huerta is an aggressive defender of her clients’ rights and interests, providing the best legal representation possible for each and every case.
